This year's event was held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, continuing to expand the space for cultural exchange and connecting the people of the two countries.

According to the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, the 2026 Korean Cultural Road Festival will be held at the intersection of Nguyen Xuan Khoat and Xuan Tao streets, in the Diplomatic Corps Area, Xuan Dinh ward. The opening ceremony is expected to take place at 6:30 p.m. on October 24, while the cultural experience booths are open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the food area serves visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on both October 24 and 25.

The event was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, and is also within the framework of the Korea Season project of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean International Cultural Exchange Foundation. Over many years of organization, the festival has gradually expanded its scale, from 4 booths for the first time in 2022 to 39 booths in 2026, creating a richer experience space for the public. The highlight of the program is a series of K-live band music performances on the main stage with the participation of many Korean artists and bands such as QWER, Silica Gel, Touched, DjembeCola, The Shepherd Bois and Mijinee. Representing Vietnam are singer and musician Hoang Dung and Mau Nuoc Band, contributing to creating a musical space combining the two cultures. Besides performances, visitors can learn about Korean tourism through images of the night scenes of the cities of Busan, Tongyeong, Yeosu and Jeonju. The culinary experience space is also expanded with activities of making kimchi, processing seafood in Korean style and creating dishes with Tteokgalbi, helping participants directly access the unique features of the culinary culture of the land of kimchi. Many other interactive activities are also held throughout the two days of the festival such as K-pop Random Dance, quizzes, Vietnamese – Korean folk games, Taekwondo performances and traditional Korean rope walking. Combining music, cuisine, sports, games and travel experiences helps the festival not only focus on a single type but create a diverse cultural exchange space for many public groups. According to Ms. Park Chan A, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, the growth from 4 booths in 2022 to 39 booths this year shows that the scale of the festival is increasingly expanding. The activities included the participation of cultural agencies, copyright units, business promotion organizations and representatives of many Korean localities, thereby introducing products, destinations and unique cultural features to the Vietnamese people. Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Lee Miyon expects the festival to continue to receive the attention and response of the Vietnamese public, thereby contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening cultural connections between the two countries. With a series of diverse activities from cultural and culinary experiences to music and tourism, the 2026 Korean Cultural Road Festival continues to become one of the rendezvous for Vietnam – Korea cultural exchange in Hanoi.
