World Tour BIGBANG brings about 750 billion VND in tourism revenue to Hanoi
Taking place on October 24 and 25, 2026 at My Dinh National Stadium, the program “BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour in Hanoi – XX: COSMOS” attracts about 90,000 domestic and international audiences. With the large scale and attraction of the Korean music group, the program becomes one of the notable international cultural and entertainment events in Hanoi in 2026, not only meeting the public’s need to enjoy art but also creating more motivation for tourism and service activities in the city.

According to information from the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on October 27, the spread of the two shows is clearly shown through the increase in demand for travel, accommodation, dining and shopping. In just two days October 23 and 24, Hanoi welcomed about 220,000 tourists, an increase of 15.6% compared to last week, of which the number of international visitors reached about 67,900. The fact that a large number of spectators from other provinces, cities and abroad flock to the Capital has created more demand for many types of services during the event.
Travel service booking platforms also recorded significant increases. Flight bookings to Hanoi on Trip.com increased by 74%, while the number of searches for trips to Hanoi on Traveloka quadrupled. Room occupancy at some 3- to 5-star hotels reached from 75% to 100%, showing that the concert’s effects have spread beyond the stadium and directly impacted the accommodation market. Total revenue from tourists during the event is estimated at about 750 billion VND.
These numbers show that a large-scale international performing arts program can create an economic impact that goes beyond direct revenue from the performance. When tens of thousands of spectators come to Hanoi to attend concerts, demand for transportation, hotels, restaurants, shopping and other entertainment services also increases. Many tourists also combine their trip with visiting monuments, experiencing cuisine and exploring the cultural life of the Capital, thereby extending their stay and increasing their spending. Reality from the BIGBANG World Tour shows that attracting large-scale international performances can become an effective way to exploit the connection between culture and tourism. Such events not only bring quality entertainment products to the public but also contribute to expanding demand for services, promoting the hotel, transportation, catering and retail industries, and increasing Hanoi’s attractiveness to domestic and international tourists. Besides being effective in tourism and image promotion, organizing a program with tens of thousands of attendees also places high demands on management, coordination and safety capacity. Implementing the direction of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with departments, branches, local authorities and organizing units to complete procedures, review organizational conditions, conduct field inspections and develop plans on security, order, traffic, health, fire prevention and environmental sanitation.
Coordination between management agencies, local authorities, venue management units and organizers plays an important role in synchronously handling requirements related to infrastructure, logistics and audience service. With a large-scale event, organizational efficiency is not only reflected in the stage, sound system, lighting or number of attendees, but also in the ability to regulate traffic, ensure safety, organize the flow of people and maintain a favorable experience for the public.
According to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the program was successfully organized, guaranteed safety and received positive feedback from organizers, artists as well as domestic and international media. This result contributes to showing that Hanoi is capable of meeting the infrastructure, management and coordination requirements to organize large-scale international performances.
From the effect of “BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour in Hanoi – XX: COSMOS”, Hanoi has more basis to develop towards becoming a destination for professional, safe and highly influential international cultural and entertainment events. Combining performance activities with destination promotion, tourism services and cultural products is expected to both enhance the Capital’s position on the international event map and create more resources for the development of the cultural industry and urban economy.
