Many MB branches joined hands to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters

Faced with the damage caused by natural disasters in many localities recently, a number of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) branches have proactively deployed social security activities at the grassroots. The programs focus on emergency support, contributing to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, while ensuring living and learning conditions for people in heavily affected areas.

In the northern mountainous region, in early December 2025, MB Hai Duong continued to organize the 6th “Warm Clothes for Children” volunteer program in Co Linh commune, Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province (now Cao Minh commune, Thai Nguyen province). This is a difficult highland area, where students have to overcome steep slopes in cold weather conditions to get to school.

At Co Linh, Thom Nieng and Khen Len schools, the working group including officers and customers of MB Hai Duong donated warm clothes, books, school supplies, teaching equipment and many essential living items. Although the gifts are simple, they contribute to improving learning conditions and giving students more motivation to come to class with peace of mind during the winter.

In the Central region, right after storm No. 13 and the floods at the end of November 2025, MB Binh Dinh quickly deployed support activities in areas suffering heavy damage. During the two days of November 22-23, 2025, with the participation of the Trade Union, Youth Union, Women’s Union and staff, the branch directly went to each affected area, giving more than 780 gifts including necessities, warm clothes, cash and living and studying supplies to people.

At Nhon Phu Primary School (Quy Nhon Bac), the given notebooks and pens helped the school soon stabilize teaching and learning activities after the natural disaster, while also providing timely encouragement to teachers, students and parents.

Also during this time, MB Quang Nam deployed activities to support people as soon as the flood waters receded in Xuan Phu and Thuong Duc communes. Gifts including food, drinking water and essential household items were given to people in flooded areas, contributing to helping people gradually stabilize their lives. From local activities, the branch continues to coordinate with businesses, units in the MB system and sponsors to expand support to Tra Leng commune, remote areas with many difficulties.

In the Central Highlands region, faced with prolonged rain causing flooding in some localities in Phu Yen (now in Dak Lak province) and within the province, MB Dak Lak mobilized the cooperation of staff and local organizations. In a short time, dozens of bags of warm clothes, blankets, food and necessities were received, classified and delivered directly to flood areas through coordination with the Provincial Businessmen’s Association and Dak Lak Provincial Forest Protection Fund, ensuring timeliness in relief work.

In addition to direct support activities at the grassroots, in early December 2025, MB Binh Dinh represented VND 3 billion to support the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province to serve the work of overcoming the consequences of floods in the area, contributing to supplementing local resources in the process of supporting people.

From highland schools to areas recently affected by floods, social security activities implemented by each MB branch in recent times have shown a sense of responsibility, initiative and sharing with the local community. These practical activities not only contribute to supporting people to overcome immediate difficulties, but also strengthen the connection between the bank and the community where the units are operating.
