Not only stopping at finding outstanding topics, the 2026 Research – Creativity competition was implemented by Hanoi with the goal of forming a connecting environment between young forces with researchers and the business community. Thereby, ideas have the potential to continue to be improved and developed after the competition ends. Participating projects are oriented to solve problems associated with the capital’s development process. In particular, the Organizing Committee is especially interested in initiatives related to smart cities, digital transformation, transportation, environment, health, culture and high-tech agriculture. The notable point of “Hanoi Youth Creativity 2026” is that the support mechanism does not end with the competition round. Promising projects will have the opportunity to be consulted by experts, test and perfect their products, and receive support in building their brand and finding commercialization directions. Two exam tables for pupils and students
The competition is divided into two tables to suit each group of participants. Table A is for high school students or students in the high school continuing education program. Table B is for students, learners at academies, universities, colleges and vocational education establishments. Candidates can register individually or in groups. The research content focuses on 4 field groups including digital technology and artificial intelligence; environment and biotechnology; smart manufacturing and production; digital culture industry and community solutions. Topics targeting specific problems in Hanoi, from transportation, health care, urban areas to high-tech agriculture, are encouraged to increase the applicability of research products. Connecting candidates with experts and businesses
According to the plan, the contest will be implemented through many stages in 2026. After launching in September, the Organizing Committee will receive contest applications from October 5 to October 10, 2026. Pre-qualification work is expected to be completed before October 20, 2026. After the preliminary round, qualified projects will enter the consulting phase lasting from October 21 to November 15, 2026. This is the time for candidates to work directly with experts, lecturers and businesses to receive feedback, adjust ideas and perfect products. The final round is expected to take place in November 2026, combining product demonstration activities and investment connection activities. The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held at the end of November or in December 2026. Continue to support projects after the competition
The Organizing Committee plans to award 1 Special Prize for the entire competition. In each group, the prize structure includes 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 4 Consolation Prizes. Notably, after the competition closes, projects with high applicability will continue to be considered for support in the incubation process. Groups can also receive support in registering for intellectual property protection and connecting to preferential development policies according to Resolution No. 58/2026/NQ-HDND of the city. Through the combination of research, competitions, professional consulting and business connections, “Hanoi Youth Creativity 2026” creates an additional channel for students to test new ideas, and gradually bring potential initiatives from the learning and research environment into practice.
