Familiar image in the heart of the city

Early in the morning in Hanoi, when the sun is still shy behind the trees, we see a mother carrying a street vendor on her shoulders, her heavy burden is not only the burden of vegetables and fruits but also the burden of making a living and the burden of love for the family. Even though there was sweat on her forehead, her gentle smile still appeared, like a gentle light in the midst of a busy life.

At another street corner, an office woman hurriedly walked with the steady sound of her shoes, holding a cup of coffee that was still warm. Underneath the neat vest, there is still a soft heart – a place that hides many worries and responsibilities, but still retains the unique charm and calmness of Hanoi women.

And then, somewhere on the lakeside road, we see the silhouette of a young girl in an ao dai blowing gently in the autumn wind. She is both modern and traditional – possessing the beauty of the new generation: confident, brave but still feminine. In her, she is the continuation of thousands of generations of Vietnamese women, who have been contributing to the identity, spirit and beauty of the nation.

Ordinary but extraordinary

Vietnamese women are always present in life through the simplest things. They may not be able to accomplish glorious feats, or need to be honored with great titles, but in every little thing they do – from taking care of the family, nurturing the home, to dedicating themselves to work – there is admirable dedication and energy.

They are the “fire keepers” in every home, the “gentle notes” in the harmony of life. Even though life has changed a lot, even though technology and modernization are making everything faster, Vietnamese women still maintain their typical qualities: responsible, faithful, altruistic and loving.

Talking about Vietnamese women is talking about perseverance. They persevere through hardships, quietly shoulder their burdens, and still smile amid challenges. They are extraordinary not because of anything great, but because of the way they live each day to the fullest – with family, with work, with love and with themselves.

Warmth in the heart of Hanoi
