“Unknown Land” opens a dialogue about loss, memory and motherhood
On the afternoon of October 11 in Hanoi, Kim Dong Publishing House organized an exchange and launched the novel "The Unknown Land" by Vietnamese-French writer Doan Bui, translated by translator Thuan. Once nominated for the French Femina Award, the work moves from a private loss to expand into reflections on motherhood, memory, guilt, silence and how people find language to face pain.
