According to the World Health Organization (WHO), blood transfusion is an essential need for many patient groups, including women with complications during pregnancy or childbirth, children with anemia, people who have had accidents, surgical patients and people undergoing cancer treatment. While the need for blood and blood products is constant, these sources of products can only be preserved for a certain period of time. Therefore, maintaining a stable and regular force of blood donors plays an important role in ensuring supply for emergency and treatment purposes. From that meaning, Herbalife Vietnam’s annual blood donation program not only contributes to supplementing blood sources for the medical industry but also encourages the spirit of solidarity and enhances the sense of social responsibility in the community.
