Hanoi introduces green tourism products and digital applications

The Ba Vi mountain area with its untouched nature is Hanoi’s strength in green tourism development.

With the theme “Hanoi – Green Tourism, Digital Experience”, Hanoi Tourism Festival 2026 will feature nearly 100 booths designed as a journey to discover Hanoi in unique and experiential destinations.

The event was organized by the Hanoi Tourism Department in order to materialize the Program No. 02/CTr-UBND dated January 9, 2026 of the Hanoi People’s Committee on Promotion of Investment, Trade and Tourism in 2026.

The organizing committee brings the many beauties of Hanoi to its campus in Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City). Notably, the “Memory” space recreates the beauty of Hanoi’s heritage, old quarter, architecture and craft villages through destination models, photo exhibitions and art paintings. It is a place where you can experience the depth of the capital’s culture and history.

Meanwhile, the “Essence” space respects the value of Hanoi’s craft village and cuisine, with many traditional craft demonstrations and experiences of famous specialties such as lotus tea, Vuong village green rice, Hanoi pho, gusa pho roll, tantri rice roll, hands-on apricot fruit, etc.

With a focus on green digitalization, the “Green Area” space has been carefully invested to showcase ecotourism products, rural tourism, resorts and outdoor sports in Hanoi’s typical destinations such as Bavi, Soc Son, My Duc, Dong Mo and Duong Lam ancient villages.

The next highlight is the ‘Technology’ space, where visitors can experience the latest digital tourism applications such as VR360 virtual reality technology, international online travel platforms, artificial intelligence applications and receptionist robots.

In addition, the “Four Directions Link” space will feature booths introducing tourism in many regions such as Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Khanh Hoa, and Gia Lai, contributing to strengthening collaboration between tourism development in Hanoi and other parts of the country.

Within the framework of the festival, various programs and activities will be held. The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held on the evening of March 13th on the main stage of Thong Nhat Park, and will bring together many famous young artists to perform a carefully choreographed art program. Other destination research activities such as Bat Trang Pottery Village tour. Discussion program and seminar on rural craft village tourism development at Vietnam Craft Village Essence Center.

The festival will also feature many unique cultural activities, including Te Tiu puppet show, Xuan Rai Da Phuc Mo’s mine pulling, performance of excerpts from the play “The Essence of the North”, Suoi Hai Gong dancing, and Bac Ninh Quang Ho singing.

You can also participate in experiential programs such as “Tea Talk on the Veranda,” where you can listen to stories about the culture and history surrounding tourist destinations while enjoying tea. In addition, there are activities to introduce and promote tourism products, transportation, aviation, domestic and international tours, and thousands of exciting incentive programs.

Featuring a wealth of activities, Hanoi Tourism Festival 2026 is expected to attract many people and tourists from home and abroad to visit and experience it. This will contribute to promoting Hanoi’s image as a “safe, friendly, quality and attractive” destination while promoting the development of sustainable tourism and green economy.
