Hanoi will be among the top 50 most beautiful cities in the world in 2026

The prestigious American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has included Hanoi in its list of the world’s 50 most beautiful cities for 2026, ranking it alongside many famous destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris, New York and Kyoto. The appearance of the Vietnamese capital in this ranking confirms the special attraction of Hanoi in the eyes of tourism industry professionals as well as international tourists.

Condé Nast Traveler named Hanoi as one of the cities that can make visitors “fall in love at first sight” in its list of “50 Most Beautiful Cities in the World in 2026” published in February 2026.
According to magazine reviews,HanoiBorn from a combination of long history and vibrant urban life. The city is like a “distilled version of the essence of Southeast Asia,” with ancient temples, traditional townhouses, and French-style villas still preserved in the modern urban core.
Condé Nast Traveler believes that although Hanoi is undergoing rapid urbanization, the city still retains a “romantic soul” and cultural depth that give it a unique identity, unlike many of the region’s larger cities.
Hanoi’s inclusion on the Condé Nast Traveler list continues a series of international media recognitions for Vietnam’s tourism in recent years.
Previously, in 2024, TripAdvisor ranked Hanoi among the top 10 travel destinations in the world in the Travelers’ Choice – Best of the Best Destination Awards, based on reviews from millions of tourists around the world. In 2023, travel website Time Out included Hanoi in its list of the world’s top 20 cultural cities, praising the capital’s heritage system, rich culinary life and diverse cultural activities.
Additionally, CNN Travel has repeatedly featured Hanoi as one of the world’s most attractive cities with street food, and Lonely Planet considers Hanoi a must-see destination in Southeast Asia.
In addition, Hanoi has received consecutive awards from the World Travel Organization (WTA) for many years.
