Thu My Vi culinary festival: Spreading the essence of three regions
The “Autumn My Vi” festival carries the spirit of the autumn festival, converging Northern – Central – Southern culinary specialties, combined with a vibrant Oktoberfest atmosphere.
Inspired by the brilliant yellow colors of Hanoi’s autumn and reminiscent of “Golden Week” – the busiest shopping and experience season in Asia, the image of “Golden Autumn” is not only the typical color of autumn but also evokes the feeling of a “golden season of experience” of tourism, cuisine and vibrant festivals.
Continuing that inspiration, the “Autumn My Vi” culinary festival within the framework of the 2025 Fall Fair will take place on October 28, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Hoi commune, Hanoi), bringing a unique three-region culinary experience journey, combining more than 100 types of craft beer and barley specialties, recreating the Oktoberfest festival atmosphere right in the heart of the Capital.
Vietnam, a strip of land woven from different seasons of heaven and earth. Each passing season leaves behind a unique taste, an unmixed emotional nuance. If Spring is the beginning of freshness, Summer is the brilliant taste of intoxication, Winter is the rich taste of togetherness, then Autumn is the delicious taste of condensation and sophistication.
“Thu My Vi” is a journey to find those quintessence, where each Vietnamese region tells its own story in the language of scent, taste, and memory. The North is elegant with the scent of green rice, the Central region is rich in the taste of the sea, and the South is generous with the sweet taste of fruit. Three regions – three flavors meet each other in a full-of-emotions Autumn.
Along the length of the country, from North to South, everywhere there are simple gifts from the streets, street vendors, small roadside shops, or familiar market corners. Each dish, no matter how simple, contains the soul of a land, the crystallization of the customs, climate and soul of the people there.
Therefore, every street gift, no matter what region it is in, is a “delicious dish”, a delicate expression of Vietnamese culinary culture: Simple yet profound, rustic yet passionate. And when Autumn comes, the most beautiful season of Hanoi, it is also the time when “those delicacies reunite” in the picture of the old town filled with golden sunshine, gentle breezes and the scent of new green rice.
Amidst the elegant Autumn colors, delicacies from three regions seem to spread, harmonize and sublimate, creating “The Delicacies of the City” – a symphony of tastes and memories, where people not only enjoy the food, but also taste the soul of the city, human love and Vietnamese identity.
